Audio Devices

Why does VC1200 Voice Changer sound jumbled at first?
It can take the first few words of the conversation for the device to attenuate to your voice. It will clear up after the first 3-5 words. For the most effective usage, the speaker should talk in a very clear, loud, and concise voice. This will give the VC1200 enough time to properly demodulate each word.

Video Camera Basic Definitions
Depth of Field: For a lens, the area along the line of sight in which objects are in reasonable focus. It is measured from the distance behind an object to the distance in front of the object when the viewing lens shows the object to be in focus. Depth of field increases with smaller lens aperture (higher f-numbers), shorter focal lengths, and greater distances from the lens

Aperture - In CCTV optics, the aperture is the diameter of the lens that controls the amount of light reaching the image sensor. It is shown by an f-number. For instance, a lens with an f-number of 1.2 will allow more light to reach the sensor than a lens with an f-number of 2.0 thus producing a brighter image.

Camera Format -This refers to the actual size of the image sensor. An image sensor is a device that converts a visual image to an electric signal. It is used chiefly in digital cameras and other imaging devices. It is usually an array of charged-coupled devices (CCD) or CMOS sensors such as active pixel sensors. Common formats are 1/4", 1/2", 1/3", 2/3", and 1". The size of the sensor directly affects the field of view obtained. Important note; the lens must be designed to fit the size of your sensor otherwise the image will be a vignette

Field of View or FOV-This refers to the width, height, of the diameter of the displayed image. The field of view is determined by the lens focal length, imaging sensor size, and the distance to the subject being monitored. The field of view is usually expressed in degrees horizontally and/or vertical.

Lux - A unit measuring the intensity of light. Full mood light is about 0.1 lux whereas full daylight is about 10,000 lux. Most color cameras can produce decent images during deep twilight. Most black and white cameras need about as much light as produced by a full moon. Specifications for camcorders (video cameras) often include a minimum luminance level in lux at which the camera will record a satisfactory image. A camera with good low-light capability will have a lower lux rating. Still, cameras do not use such a specification, since longer exposure times can generally be used to take pictures at very low luminance levels, as opposed to the case in video cameras where a maximum exposure time is generally set by the frame rate.

How to Create a text file on a MAC?
Text File on a Mac
A text file is one of the simplest types of files you can create on a computer. It can be opened by many different programs and doesn't include any special formatting, fonts, images, or other embedded data. You can create one with almost any desktop, laptop, or smartphone operating system on the market. Still, there are differences between text files. Files can have different character encodings, which refers to how letters and other symbols such as emoji are translated into the numerical systems used by computers to store data. Common encodings in the United States include ASCII and Unicode, but there are other encodings used in other places for different languages. Most Mac text file processing programs and other tools can automatically detect the encoding of a file, but if the wrong encoding is used, a file may be fully or partially illegible. Different operating systems sometimes use different ways to represent the ending of a line of text. Many modern programs can handle multiple alternatives, but files can sometimes be mangled when sending them back and forth between operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, and Linux.
Using TextEdit
TextEdit is an application on every Mac that you can use to create and edit text files. It's included with all versions of macOS and OS X. Find TextEdit in the Applications folder on your Mac computer. By default, it creates formatted documents saved in rich text format, but you can use it to create a plain text file on a Mac. To do so, launch the program, click the "Format" menu, and select "Make Plain Text." Use the "Open" command in the "File" menu to find, open, and edit existing text documents.

Put all pictures in a folder, pictures can be no larger than 960x960pixels, the name format for pictures should be: name_id#_sex.jpg (sex is number 1=Male, 2=Femail) e.g. Frank Thomas_31_1.jpg Import in sVMS in Face Manage button / List Import tab and select the device in the left panel. Make sure you have the correct List Type selected, browse to the folder by clicking Select Folder, then click the Import button.

What happens when the TMT2 database reaches either 22400 faces and/or 100,000 records?
The new file will overwrite the oldest image first, The TMT2 uses the First-in First-out method.
Do you have a central management software that will provide the ability to remotely manage multiple TMT devices?
TMT2 App (software) sVMS2000, can view up to 16 devices. You do not need to have a VPN it can be accessed from anywhere as long as the IP address is reachable. The sVMS software has DDNS capability (what is DDNS, you can get a free account with a Dynamic DNS service that lets you use a domain name to access your home network, you can then access your device by a name instead of remembering the IP address), also would have to configure any firewall to allow the traffic through to your device behind it.

Why is DVR150WF footage recording to my phone, but not to the SD card?
There is a file length setting on this device.  If it is set to 3 minutes and the recording is stopped before 3 minutes, it will not write that file to the SD card.  Lower the setting to 1 minute and do not stop the recording until 1 minute has passed.
Can my Wi-Fi Camera Connect To a Hotspot?
